This Wireless 55-Inch TV Sucks On Every Window (VIDEO)
Yes, you see, there is no power cord!
The idea of mounting the TV on the wall may sound very attractive, for the elegance and space saving it offers, but many times there are obstacles that cannot be overcome. An alternative solution to this problem is therefore provided by Displace ‘s wireless TV : Instead of being hung on a base that is screwed to the wall, this TV can be placed with a suction cup on any window or, in general, on any flat surface!
The company presented a prototype at the CES 2023 technology exhibition , which is actually completely wireless . Yes, as you can see from the photos, the TV does not use any power cords and instead runs on four batteries, which can be easily replaced while another pair is charging. In order to save energy, all the processing is done by an external box, which wirelessly sends the image to the 55-inch 4K OLED panel.
Of course, the most interesting feature of the Displace TV is the suction cup mechanism on the back. Specifically, the TV has a motor that literally sucks the surface to tighten the suction cup. Thus, according to the company’s words, the TV can be fixed from windows to slightly curved walls. To detach the panel, there is a button on each side that causes the mechanism to slowly release. Finally, Displace TV also has a built-in camera with a pop-up mechanism, which can be used for video calls, but also for various gestures.
The first Displace TVs will arrive in December, with a price tag of $3,000! For more you can watch the CNET demo in the player below.
