Monica Bellucci is coming to Thessaloniki
The Italian star will come for the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival
A star of global brilliance will be in Thessaloniki and we are referring to Monica Bellucci. The Italian movie star will come to the co-capital for the sake of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival , which will be held in early November.
As part of this year’s Thessaloniki Film Festival, Bellucci will preface the screening of the hybrid film ” Maria Callas: Letters and Memoirs ” by Tom Wolff and Yiannis Dimolitsa, which is based on the play ” Maria Callas: Letters and Memoirs” . The film will be screened on Wednesday, November 8 at the Olympia, as part of the Maria Callas Year celebrations , marking the centenary of the great soprano’s birth. On the second day of her appearance, Bellucci will attend the screening of the film Malena (2000) directed by Giuseppe Tornatore , which made her known to the general public and to the whole world. The film tells a moving coming-of-age story and at the same time a mural of a painful historical period, in which Monica Bellucci exemplifies a complex female character.
The screening will take place on Thursday, November 9 at the Olympian, while the 59-year-old star will also be honored with the Golden Alexander Award for her overall contribution to cinema.
