‘Joker’ Says Goodbye to ‘Batman’: Mark Hamill’s Heartbreaking Farewell to Kevin Conroy   

DC mourns the loss of a legendary voice actor

The most recognizable voice of Batman of all time fell silent for good yesterday , as Kevin Conroy passed away at the age of 66 after a short battle with cancer, sending grief across DC and Hollywood. The iconic voice actor maintained a close friendship with Mark Hamill who has also been lending his voice to various versions of the Joker for decades .

Of course, the duo has given them great moments in DC animated films and series, being the most adored Batman and Joker of the fans. Mark Hamill with a heartbreaking message wanted to say goodbye to his friend and partner, saying: 

“Kevin was a wonderful actor. For many generations, he was the ultimate Batman. It was one of those perfect scenarios where they found the right man for the right role and the world became a better place. His rhythms and nuances, nuances and his delivery – all of that helped my performance as well. He was the perfect partner – it was such a complementary, creative experience. I couldn’t have done it without him. He will forever be my Batman.”

According to  Wikipedia , Kevin Conroy is best known as the voice behind the DC Comics superhero Batman in several forms of entertainment, beginning with the 1990s television series Batman: The Animated Series. He has also embodied the character and in various other television series and feature films in the DC Animated Universe. In fact, due to the huge popularity of his performance as Batman, Conroy went on to voice the character for many more DC Universe Animated Original Movies, while he was Bruce Wayne/Batman in the award-winning video games  Batman: Arkham , as well and in Injustice: Gods Among Us and Injustice 2.
